Asparagus

A day off with kids and dogs. Time for a quick project - let me test Bubiknits's Asparagus, then.

Working on my swap socks

April - and I still haven't finished my International swap socks.
I have chosen a nice pattern from Stephanie van der Linden's Socken aus aller Welt. Love this book!
For my swap partner I've chosen the "French lavender" pattern.
I was totally on another project - a wedding stole for a special friend. It has to be perfect, and I'll do my very best for her.
Looking nice, isn't it?
Certe tradizioni vanno rispettate.

Easter dessert

It just happens that I love rhubarb and I love ginger and I have my family coming by for dinner.... I just have to serve my very personal dessert
Special thanks to http://www.sweetsugarbelle.com for her inspiring tutorials and the basic cookies recipe
For the dessert you'll need a basic custard - the one you love or a vanilla pudding, slightly cooked rhubarb, freshly grated ginger root, cottage cheese and some double cream, 2 round biscuits per serving
First you put in your glasses the custard
Nei bicchieri facciamo uno strato di crema
Then you "seal" the cream with the first biscuit
Time for the rhubarb puree - peel and cut in small pieces the stem and cook it with a knob of butter and just a small amount of brown sugar. Add the grated ginger before using the puree.

Time to use the second biscuit and a slightly mixed cream cheese, sugar and double cream
enjoy

Mettiamoci una pezza

Remember L'Aquila three years after the earthquake. Dozens of small kintted or crocheted squares to show that at least someone still cares. This one is part of the Social crochet project for mettiamociunapezza.wordpress.com.

4 are mine

Stormy weather

Have to arrange Saturday's family dinner .... but all I wanna do is sit there and knit.

Sabato pranzo in famiglia.

Go green

Thinking vegan

It all started a month ago when I read a post about a vegan maionaise... Nooo, it's impossible to make a good sauce maionaise without eggs and a painful, constant wisking. But, again, why not? So I took my minipimer, soya milk, Rapsol and ........here it was a tasty maionaise. No one could guess it was not the real, home made one. What if it was a sign, given just before Easter?

Shaun says yes! It is a sign

This is my "new" cardy and this is my green stole - a present for my viennese friend Barbara - she did the blocking. Good girl

Bel lavoro.
